Duties:
Business Development Functions - 85%
New Business Development - Responsible for securing new global accounts via primarily airfreight sales, and selling other related services when opportunities exist. Focus is to develop new US-based Global business and opportunities.
Account Business Expansion - Develop global account strategies and identify key business opportunities that result in incremental revenue. Further develop relationships with key account personnel in an effort to grow business.
Strategic Sales - Responsible for developing strong client relationships, identifying key account personnel and decision makers, communicating effectively with clients and internal team members, and focus on immediate and long-term business opportunities with the ability to close sales and secure business. In addition to identifying problems, develop and present solutions and options to satisfy customers’ needs.
Reporting - Responsible for reporting all sales and account activity via weekly, monthly and quarterly sales reports. Capability to identify market trends, evaluate competitive information, customer requirements and report solutions to Sr. Management staff.
Process Improvement Functions - 10%
Teamwork - Must work professionally and effectively with key sales and operations staff worldwide in order to achieve macro target revenue goals.
Maintain Professional and Technical Knowledge by staying current with important industry issues and networking with customers and industry contacts.
Staff Development - Mentor junior staff members and help facilitate professional development among the team.
Communication/Feedback - Accept feedback willingly; develop and maintain positive working relationships with management, peers and co-workers.
Process Improvement - Responsible for identifying and implementing new sales/operations processes that increase revenues and profits, and improve overall sales performance.
Related Administrative Functions 5%
Manage resources effectively to meet and support Corporate and ACD Senior Management's goals, revenue and profit expectations.
Additional Requirements:
B.A. / B.S. Degree or equivalent, related industry experience.
Minimum of 5 years' Sales experience in the international freight forwarding industry.
