Job Description
Job Family Responsibilities:
Designs overall operational objectives and work plans for direct and/or channel sales, and delegates assignments to subordinate staff. Manages the sales efforts of assigned sales managers in sales units for a territory, defined geographic area, marketing segment or channel(s). Designs brand strategy to meet or exceed objectives established for each brand. Develops strategy for retention of account base and development of new accounts. Designs and leads sales strategy to penetrate accounts. Makes final decisions on administrative and operational matters and ensures effective achievement of objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Successfully defines work flows, jobs, and reporting relationships to obtain optimum effectiveness. Area of responsibility has moderate strategic impact. Develops and manages departmental budgets and/or business plans for a large department or business unit or division. Has substantial latitude to develop policies/programs for area of responsibility or products and to forecast their impact; Analyzes effectiveness of policies/products and establishes future direction for functional policies and programs or products that affect company as a whole; Aligns policies/products and development efforts with company strategies. Identifies resource needs with significant influence on approval of identified needs. Troubleshoots and resolves most complex problems within multi-departments and/or cross-functional areas. Determines organizational structures and supervisory relationship. Responsible for overall success of function or project within multi-departments and/or cross-functional areas.
Education:
Bachelors of Science degree in Engineer and/or equivalent sales management experience in the construction electrical distribution industry.
Knowledge and Experience:
10+ years of successful sales and/or sales management experience in the contruction electrical distribution & infrastructure business. Must have experience with developing and executing large construction projects/proposals with scope of $1 million or more. This position will be based in the Dallas, TX area. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
