JOB INFORMATION

Coordinate strategy execution and day-to-day operations for a unit engaged in reducing potential losses or foreclosure on delinquent loans. Articulate goals, allocate resources, and manage workflow.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS

Oversee and manage activities related to processing loss mitigation workouts.

Serve as liaison with internal customers, servicers, and other industry partners to strategize and align processes to prevent foreclosures and reduce the firms' credit losses and exposure to losses.

Manage adherence to the Delegations of Authority extended to servicers and internal staff.

Plan and oversee development of analytic tools to monitor production, implement efficiencies, and reduce costs.

Report to senior management on the unit's production, activities, and efforts.

Represent the unit as an expert or resource to cross-functional project or coordinating teams.

Plan, document, and manage the performance of subordinate managers and/or staff. Provide for professional or technical growth through assignment, mentoring, or training.

Plan and manage the unit's budget. Approve expenditures or budget transfers.




Qualifications


 

  • Must have Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Master's degree or other advanced degree is preferred

  • 10 years experience in property management and disposition or mortgage finance with at least 5 years management experience.


SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS


  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of real estate accounting, property repair and inspection, and real estate owned property disposition. 

  • Demonstrated comprehensive leadership/management skills, ability to develop and implement marketing plans which target potential property inventory, knowledge of residential marketing techniques, real estate law, mortgage lending, and real estate appraisal and repairs. 

  • Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to work within a team environment.  Demonstrated ability to work within fast-paced conditions and changing priorities. Demonstrated ability to speak in public and make effective presentations. Demonstrated working knowledge of the mortgage industry, secondary market, and Fannie Mae.

  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence others.  Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels of management, employees, and external contacts. Illustrate strong analytical skills to resolve a variety of complex problems. Strong organization and follow-up skills to handle numerous work assignments and projects at the same time.

  • Applicant should possess good computer skills, including working knowledge of Lotus1-2-3, Microsoft Access/Excel, and business objects.  Requires ability to work effectively and produce results in a team environment.
