Reporting to the Marketing Communications Manager, the role of the Marketing Project Manager is to drive marketing and operational excellence throughout the marketing organization. This position actively manages marketing processes, templates, best practices, quarterly review processes, and productivity scorecards and metrics. This role works across marketing communications, business development (advisor recruiting), education and sponsor relations, and investment platform support teams and acts as a catalyst for continuous improvement, driving improved decision making and prioritization that ensure high ROI on all marketing activities.
The Marketing Project Manager provides strong support to the marketing staff to build marketing capability and to continually be a world-class marketing organization. The role works with marketing leadership to lead major and minor projects to completion while managing all traffic within the marketing communications department and multi-discipline projects that include marketing.
Key Responsibilities:
· Actively support and manage marketing planning for operational excellence
· Develop and maintain marketing planning and management templates (e.g. budget, positioning frameworks, marketing plans, value proposition)
· Assign incoming projects from other departments and track to close
· Support marketing staff to develop a best-in-class marketing organization
· Support events management to create efficiencies using project software-driven tracking systems
· Track and report on ROI of all events post execution to ensure increased advisor production
· Track and report on ROI of all printed collateral
· Identify best practices internally and externally and facilitate broad communication and training
· Manage projects using Microsoft Project, Marketing Pilot, Sharepoint, Time Clock Plus and Success Factors
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or project management required
· 5 years of experience in marketing, sales, or related field. Investment industry experience preferred.
· 3 years of cross-functional project management
· Strong project management and organization skills
· Demonstrated cross-functional leadership
· Broad experience across marketing fundamentals
· Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and execute new processes and ensure continuous improvement
· Detailed oriented and analytically minded
