The Service Line Director is responsible for the successful management of supplier contracts and relationships for purchased services spend, and general/non-medical services for a primary healthcare facility client. It also interfaces with client senior leadership to coordinate the integration of those products and services into the client’s facilities. Responsibilities:
Responsible for success of all contracting efforts, including providing all information necessary for client to validate most effective sourcing strategy.
Provide strategic contracting and sourcing expertise/direction to facilitate client’s complete contracting needs for the capital equipment and purchased services portfolio for product categories.
Facilitate monthly committee and ad hoc meetings including preparing meeting agendas, identifying client’s clinical requirements for product categories out to bid, introduction of new contract awards and implementation plans, action item follow up, building consensus among the members, and researching new products, technologies and services in the market.
Develop launch packets and implementation plans for all newly awarded contracts, and work with the suppliers and hospitals to achieve a successful implementation.
Identify custom contracting opportunities for product categories not covered under a Broadlane national contract including research, coordinating bid efforts, supervising data analysis, and soliciting client participation in this process.
Evaluate client data to identify spending trends and identify cost-saving opportunities, and present plan to clients.
Work with Broadlane contract managers to elicit information, support, and development of amendments to existing Broadlane contracts where necessary for specific client requirements.
Work with other team members on common goals and objectives that meet current budget requirements.
Communicate effectively with all levels of client base, and within Broadlane information necessary in a professional and timely manner.
Administer contracts assigned, and manage supplier interaction necessary to Broadlane, and client’s needs.
Manage the Broadlane work plan for the purchased services portfolio and keeps the various client committees informed of new contracts, status of existing contracts, and any other activities that may affect the client during the year.

Requirements
Minimum 8 years supply chain experience in an acute-care hospital environment
Mnimum 10 years in healthcare industry experience overall
Minimum 5 years management experience
Strong Project Management experience within acute care hospital environment
Strong knowledge of materials management, operations, and logistics within a hospital
Strong command of products and services used in a hospital
Product utilization and/or cost reduction project management for a hospital
Advanced computer skills including MS word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Strong market analysis skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor degree, advanced degree preferred
