Summary
The Service Production Planner is responsible for planning weekly repair operations at STA repair facilities. Primary focus is to plan production by reviewing Service Volume Forecast, capacity levels and on-hand parts inventory levels to maximize efficiency in the organization while complying with customer contractual terms. Incumbent will need to setup and maintain tracking and reporting systems to monitor production and capacity levels at repair facilities. Interfaces with different departments within the Service Organization to gather information and to ensure efficient short and long term repair production performance. Communicates effectively with Senior Management on planning and efficiency of repair facilities. Required daily interaction with repair supplier production teams. Prepares internal and external reports to reflect and summarize repair supplier performance, STA supplier support performance and overall performance against STA customer requirements

Plans repair production for the repair facilities within the company using available system tools and by creating effective planning tools
Generation of repair performance reporting
Creates and communicates effectively weekly rolling schedules for production facilities.
Sets-up and maintains tracking and reporting systems to track and monitor all repair activity.
Interfaces with Service Account Managers and Parts Planning Department to ensure future production levels.
Prepares internal and external reports to reflect and summarize repair supplier performance, STA supplier support performance and overall performance against STA customer requirements
Background /
Experience
Bachelors Degree in accounting, industrial or business management or similar course of study from a college or university, or equivalent work experience. APICS certification in Materials Resource Planning is desirable. Must be fluent in Korean (reading, writing, speaking)
Should have a minimum of 5+ years experience in inventory control, production planning, scheduling, hi-tech products or parts purchasing, repair parts expediting and shipping in support of manufacturing or assembly operations. 2-5 years experience in Wireless industry.
Demonstrated abilities in telecommunications or office products parts resourcing, planning, researching and ordering utilizing a SAP or similar business enterprise system for purchasing and inventory control.
Read write and verbal communications skills to prepare and present plans and information to product repair, vendors and purchasing management personnel.
Experience using Microsoft PC software including extensive use of Excel spreadsheets, Word, Access.
Experience with SAP or similar business systems and/or sales order management software applications.
Korean speaking preferred

Demands & Condition
Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal more than 95% of work time in a moderately mobile and sedentary position.
Lift, move, or adjust general office equipment, boxes, supplies, materials or products weighing up to 25 pounds using proper materials handling equipment and procedures.
High level of visual acuity, numeric and character detail and moderate color distinction for accurate preparation of documents, for information analysis and error recognition.
High hand/finger dexterity with fine motor coordination skills to perform data entry work.
Under very little supervision where general policies govern, daily activities are seldom monitored and performance is measured by effective results. Most work is not directly verified, errors may involve internal losses or cost to correct. Access to some confidential data, disclosure is of negligible effect.
Travel less then 10% of time, if at all.
Frequent work of additional hours beyond normal schedule.
