Overall Responsibilities:
The Logistics Implementation Manager is responsible for implementing Lennox’ Manhattan Transportation Management System (TMS) throughout the emerging distribution network as the new network architecture rolls out. The position is located at our corporate offices in Richardson, TX. This includes designing, configuring and testing new TMS processes and application functionality for each segment of the roll-out process. The role works with the relevant business operations units to ensure that they are ready for the roll-out, and have local staff roles filled and prepared for the roll-out activities. The role will expand in 2010 to participate in implementing a Network Modeling and Optimization process and analytics tool that will support ongoing design and fine-tuning of the network.
Other essential duties include, but are not limited to:
Participate in planning all aspects of incremental TMS roll-outs: design, testing, and go-live
Participate in Network Optimization design, configuration, testing and roll out activities
Coordinate with other parallel RDN initiatives (inventory, transportation sourcing, purchasing, and distribution operations) to ensure process, skill and timing integration during incremental roll-out of the new network model
Support technical and process issue identification and resolution for TMS roll-outs
Coordinate directly with Lennox IT staff participating in the TMS and related roll-outs to ensure design and go-love integration, on schedule and on-budget.
Ensure coordination and buy in on design, implementation approach and overall timing for the relevant implementations
Identify, plan and implement ongoing TMS improvement opportunities, and opportunities to use the Network Optimization tools to enhance RDN roll-out and assess/design network improvements
Requirements
This Logistics Implementation Manager position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or Logistics;
Minimum of 3 years of business experience, preferably including broad multi-location systems and process implementations
Experience with MS Project, and/or equivalent planning tools
Experience implementing and using commercial Transportation Management Systems (Manhattan preferred)
Facilities project experience required, retail store opening experience desired
Consulting experience beneficial but not required
Has facilitated activities around formal process design and policy development and implementation relative to transportation
Excellent verbal communications skills
Skilled with documentation using MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Optional: exposure/use of network modeling and simulation tools
