Basic Responsibilities
* Performs desk audits of auto physical damage appraisals created by independent appraisers and direct repair shops to ensure they meet company and industry standards.
* Serves as liaison between appraisal sources and claims staff.
* Offers technical expertise & consultation to claims staff to assist with making repair vs. total loss decisions.
Knowledge & Skills
* 3 years experience writing auto damage appraisals is required.
* Hands-on experience in auto body repair, refinish, mechanical, frame, suspension and other related automotive components are a plus.
* ASE and/or ICAR certifications are required.
* Must either possess or be eligible to obtain Texas Adjuster’s License.
* Interpersonal skills must be adequate to effectively negotiate and communicate with appraisal sources, claims staff, and management.
