We are currently seeking an individual to join our sales team in our Arlington, TX office.  The right candidate for this position will be a seasoned insurance professional with proven sales experience and knowledge.  Individuals with previous management, supervisory, or development experience with agents typically excel within this position.  The primary responsibilities of this position are to assist the General Sales Manager in building a LADL (life, annuity, disability and critical illness insurance products) focused Agency.  The District Sales Manager is accountable for:

 

1) Production growth through "needs based" selling;

2) Producer development by recruiting, selecting, training, developing, and retaining new and experienced producers; and

3) Profitable operations by prudent management while achieving goals.




Qualifications


This job requires a background that demonstrates the following minimum knowledge, skills, abilities and traits:


  • Candidate must possess, or attain Series 6 (Investment Company/Variable Contracts Limited Representative) and where applicable, Series 63 (Uniform Securities State Law Exam) registrations within 120 days of placement in the job



  • Series 26 (Investment Company/Variable Contracts Limited Principal) must be completed within 90 days of receiving Securities License (S6 & S63) 



  • In depth knowledge of the insurance industry practices and trends, current sales methodology, business and personnel management principles and practices, multi-line insurance fundamentals, state and federal legislation



  • Proven sales skills and the ability to motivate others



  • Current license or ability to become licensed with Mutual, United and any required Affiliate Company in the state(s) required for the agency



  • Ability to travel up to 65% (may include some overnight)



ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:



  • Successful career as an insurance agent 



  • Detailed product knowledge, with expertise in life, annuity, disability and critical illness insurance products 



  • Strong employee and agent recruiting, selection, training and retention skills



  • Strong verbal/written communication, human relations and leadership skills



  • Solid innovative/problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions



  • Proficiency in applicable software and technology 



  • Ability to prepare and implement marketing and prospecting plans



  • Valid Drivers License



Physical Requirements:

 

Keyboarding - 1-33% of the work period

Sitting - 1-33% of the work period

Standing/Walking - 1-33% of the work period

Talking - less than 66% of the work period

Near Vision (20 inches or less) - 1-33% of the work period

Far Vision (over 20 inches) - 1-33% of the work period

Hearing - 1-33% of the work period

 

Must have ability to complete pre-employment drug screen, criminal background investigation, employment and education verification, credit check, and Motor Vehicle Report.
