A recognized leader in oil and natural gas exploration and production, refining, real estate, power, and investments seeks an experienced Insurance Manager in our w:st="on"Dallas office.This position will report to the Director of Insurance/Risk. JOB DESCRIPTION:


 




  • Work with Real Estate group to identify risks, investigate available markets and coverages, negotiate and place insurance coverage




  • Work with family personal business groups to identify risks, investigate available markets and coverages, negotiate and place insurance coverages




  • Work with electrical transmission business to identify risks, investigate available markets and coverages, negotiate and place insurance coverages




  • Assist in various FinPro placements




  • Work closely with Director and Senior Insurance Analyst on corporate insurance needs




  • Review and check broker’s work




  • Allocate the cost of risk to certain operating units




  • Manage internal information flow and respond to requests for insurance/loss information




  • Review insurance and indemnity revisions on contracts and revise them as necessary




  • Responsible for special projects as assigned




  • Research and respond to questions regarding operating risks and insurance coverage




 


 


REQUIREMENTS:


 




  • Bachelor's Degree




  • ARM designation




  • At least 10 years Risk Management experience or equivalent experience with an insurer or insurance broker




  • Experience in negotiation of contracts to include insurance, indemnification and risk of loss provisions




  • Experience with privately held businesses preferred




  • Must have excellent knowledge of property and casualty insurance coverages




  • Some accounting required




  • Excellent business software skills required to include Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint.




  • Knowledge of Real Estate Industry




  • Produce work at deadlines with time constraints




  • Team player with ability to multi-task




  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
