Position Description



Celanese strives to drive business results by ensuring we have an adequate supply of ready talent at all levels to support/fuel our growth and success.  This position is responsible for delivering the processes and programs that drive the attraction, retention, and development of Celanese talent with their client groups.  In addition, this individual will lead strategic client-specific OD initiatives, partnering with other HR resources as necessary.
This position will fulfill the following responsibilities:

• Deliver strategic OD consultation to the business and serve as a trusted advisor and  single point of contact to broker HR resources for the business leaders
• Serve as the liaison between the corporate COEs and the regional HR community
o Support change management  to successfully transition clients to the HR Shared Services model by implementing manager self-sufficiency training and driving centralized utilization of HR core services
• Support and implement talent management processes within the business:
o Provide design input and a global perspective on core processes in partnership with the COE
o Coordinate communication and logistics with client group across regions
o Counsel and advise business leaders on decision-making
o Serve as a point of two-way communication to COE and regional HR for launch and roll-ups
o Core talent management processes to be supported include:
? Goal setting
? Mid-year performance review
? Year-end performance review
? Performance calibration roll-up
? Pay planning and pay message delivery (merit and bonus)
? Long-term incentive planning and message delivery
? Workforce planning
? Succession planning
? Executive recruiting facilitation
? Engagement initiatives
• Lead strategic business initiatives outside COE scope
o Project planning
? Scope / Budget
? Marshal internal and external resources
o Drive client-focused talent initiatives / processes
? Functional programs to attract, develop or retain employees
? Business high potential talent development / retention programs
? Rotational programs
? Career roadmaps



 





Requirements



Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
• 10 – 12  years progressively responsible organization effectiveness/ development and/or HR business partner experience in large complex organizations required; Previous experience with global, for-profit firms with diversified businesses highly desirable
• A graduate degree in I/O Psychology, Organization Development, or Human Resources or related field desired
• HR generalist experience to consult and advise business leaders on a broad array of human resource and talent management topics
• Demonstrated success systematically linking business needs to organization design and workforce talent requirements
• Strong project management skills to drive and manage complex, global projects with a high degree of urgency
• Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and influence effectively cross-functionally and at all levels of the organization
• Record of producing results in a changing environment while balancing expectations of internal and global customers
• Strategic and independent thinking abilities
• Systems thinker; data and metric orientation
• Flexibility to move between strategic and tactical activities as appropriate
• Responsive and customer-driven
