Human Resources Specialist III
Salary: $2,551 / Month
A full-time position in the Human Resources Department. Duties include but are not limited to:
* Responsible for the planning, organizing, and coordination of one or more key Human Resource functions for the location to which assigned, including but not limited to, employment process, benefits, payroll, employee orientations/training, files maintenance, etc.
* Assists employees in understanding personnel policies and procedures as it relates to the area(s) assigned.
* Researches problems and recommends solutions within approved policies and procedures through appropriate channels.
* Gathers and maintains data and prepares statistical reports, research and analysis as needed.
* Prepares oral and written communication materials for a variety of audiences, both internal and external related to a variety of human resources issues.
* May specialize in payroll, including preparing and processing the location’s payroll, processing a variety of documents, employee setups, changes and terminations, reports, and responsible for the coordination of other related functions as assigned.
* May specialize in employee benefits, including employee insurance enrollment, claims resolution, worker’s compensation, sick leave pool contributions, disability and leave coordination, forms processing and/or responsible for the coordination of any related functions as assigned.
* May specialize in employment, including, notice of vacancy process, application process, applicant communication, skills assessment testing, records maintenance, search committee process, new employee orientations and/or responsible for the coordination of other related functions as assigned.
* May be assigned to oversee and maintain all employee file records (setup and maintenance), coordinate employee performance evaluation process, employment verifications for outside requestors and/or carry out any other duty managed by the human resources department as assigned.
* May be responsible for answering the location’s main contact line and provide highly visible and responsible public relations duties through contact and association with internal and external visitors, business and community leaders, students and the general public; responsible for a considerable volume of calls.
* May be responsible for supervision of assigned staff.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree or higher plus two years of experience in a Human Resources function or Associate’s degree or equivalent plus four years of experience in a Human Resources functions or graduation from high school or equivalent plus six years of experience in Human Resources function.
* Ability to interpret and apply administrative and department policies, regulations and rules.
* Ability to utilize computer technology to access data, maintain records, review and generate reports.
* Requires the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
* Official transcripts may be required.
* A criminal background check will be conducted.
