Summary: To provide HR leadership and support plant operations in the areas of Talent acquisition, Labor relations, Strategic planning, Employee relations, People development, and administration.
Requirements (Qualifications & Skills):
Education: Bachelor’s degree required Masters and or MBA preferred,
Experience Required: Minimum of 15-20 years of human resources related experience in the manufacturing area. 5-10 Years in management role.
Language Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively orally and in writing with all levels.
Work Environment: Time spent in plant operations may include exposure to noise, heat, fumes, etc.
Must have strong leadership and interpersonal skills and be self-directed.
Job Description:
Reporting to the SHVP must be capable of delivering strategic value in this key business role. The Director will also have a functional reporting relationship to the Senior V.P of Operations. And will be active participant in the H.R. Leadership group. Partnering with the business segment team this position will align the Human Resource function to ensure that company purpose, vision, and business objectives are achieved. The Director of H.R. will have an active role in the strategic planning ensuring that organizational structure, cultural attributes, staffing levels and skills are optimized to achieve company goals. Equally as important as the technical requirements is the need to develop a high performing human resource team focused on achieving company goals. This will be done by developing the H.R. personnel an creating an environment where they will reach their full professional potential thereby ensuring future leaders are prepared for the challenges ahead.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create a workforce optimization plan to ensure proper staffing, diversity and skill levels of employees and a flexible and scalable organization structure.
* Design and implement HR processes and programs to achieve company initiatives; including planning, employee training and development, performance management and succession planning.
* Plan organizes and executes programs in the areas employment, environment, and health and safety.
* Administer base salary, wage and annual incentive plans to assure effectiveness, compliance and equity.
* Utilize management development resources to coach, educate, and empower managers to be effective business leaders.
* Develop and implement a labor relations strategy that supports business goals both short and long term.
