Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver technical training to employees, distributors and customers with a focus on pump, mechanical seal, and valve applications, operations and maintenance.
- Review curriculum on an ongoing basis and identify opportunities for improvement
- Conduct ongoing training needs assessments and execute appropriate adjustments to existing programs and provide targeted assistance to the field.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of pumps and hydraulics, mechanical seals, and valves.
- Strong mechanical and analytical problem solving skills in operations and/or maintenance functions in the energy, refining, chemical or related industries
- Basic knowledge of process machinery typically used in power plants, refineries, chemical plants, pipelines, mining facilities, pharmaceutical plants, and water distribution facilities.
- Ability to provide a learning atmosphere to students of both technical and non-technical backgrounds
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to handle a substantial workload
- Willingness to travel up to 20-30%. Some travel outside the U.S. is possible.
- Computer literate – working knowledge of using e-mail, the internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
Preferred:
- Basic knowledge of course instructional design
- Hands-on experience with pump, mechanical seal and valve products
- Technical Training experience
- Ability to develop customer relationships
