Software/Systems Trainer I

Salary: $2,812 / Month
A full-time position in the IT Department. Duties include but are not limited to:

* Develops and maintains written training modules related to hardware, microcomputer software adaptations, office system applications and other mainframe system applications.

* Develops curriculum for delivery of classroom instruction and presents hands-on training to users throughout the District.

* Maintains high level of knowledge regarding current core administrative software purchased and supported by the District or the specific campus/location employees.

* Maintains written training materials. Travels to DCCCD training delivery locations; or if at a campus location, will travel to an off-site campus location.

* May create graphics to use in the development of training materials.

* Performs related duties as assigned.

* May be required to lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree or higher in a related area or Associate’s degree or higher in related area plus two years of relevant experience or graduation from high school or equivalent plus four years of relevant experience (a combination of relevant college course work/training and relevant work experience may be used to total four years of experience).

* One year of proven presentation experience in end user training.

* Ability to use a variety of software applications in a business environment.

* Excellent presentation and communication skills.

* Ability to explain sometimes difficult technical material clearly and patiently to individuals of varying levels of proficiency.

* Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

* Official transcripts may be required.

* A criminal background check will be conducted.
