Interactive Project Manager
Dallas based Broadcasting and Internet Company targeting the African-American community is seeking an experienced Interactive Project Manager to manage the production and ongoing maintenance of interactive initiatives and robust advertising campaigns for BlackAmericaWeb.com.
Candidate must have interactive creative background, a minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing development & delivery of online products in collaboration with internal stakeholders and clients. The Interactive Project Manager will work with Sales, Programming, Interactive staff, outside vendors and advertisers to develop complementing interactive features for BlackAmericaWeb.com.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Gather requirements (business, functional, technical) for all BAW projects
* Plan projects by defining scope (based upon requirements and deliverables); creating work-based schedules; mapping out resource requirements; and developing comprehensive budgets
* Serve as primary client interface on a daily basis for project-specific communications (via email, phone calls, meetings)
* Continually and consistently manage against “living” project plans
* Continually and consistently monitor and report upon project progress
* Facilitate regular status meetings (internal and external); maintain periodic status reports
* Adopt, enforce, and otherwise contribute to overall improvement and quality of the company's processes
* Interface directly with senior-level clients (when necessary and appropriate)
* Actively manage project-related issues
* Perform other duties as requested by Executive Director
Requirements:
* Strong proficiency with general project management principles, methods, and tools
* Proven organizational skills and meticulous attention-to-detail
* Knowledge of SEO best practices
* Expert proficiency with project planning and budget development
* Basic-moderate familiarity with and knowledge of SDLC or digital | interactive development lifecycle
* Self-motivated and able to work efficiently and effectively with limited management oversight
* Strong business writing skills required and strong technical writing skills preferred)
* Ability to delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively and professionally
* Strong familiarity with the state of the Web from a business and aesthetic perspective
* Solid understanding of and dedication to the Interactive medium
* Experience and skilled in Microsoft software applications.
Experience/Education:
* B.A./B.S. or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
* Must have minimum 3-5 years of experience managing development & delivery of interactive initiatives
* Experience with Project Management Software and Tools such as Microsoft Project, Dot Project, Base Camp, MSCentral or PMOffice
