Position
Summary The Director of Business Planning main responsibilities will be to lead demand management and SCM/CPFR activities across STA.
Common Essential
Duties & Resp. • Lead weekly SCM/PSI meetings with multiple carrier account teams
o Completely understand market conditions, including inventory, sell-thru, completion, promotion plans, etc.
o Be the focal point and expert for demand related questions and insight
o Work with account teams to manage weekly demand forecasts and production requests
• Develop weekly operations summaries and status reports
• Set vision and direction for demand management across STA
• Manage CPFR/SCM processes and systems group
o Ensure STA is top-rated subsidiary in internal Samsung metrics
o Establish vision and direction for carrier CPFR activities
o Create system/process infrastructure for effective SCM/CPFR activities
o Ensure supply chain logic effectively supports STA sales activities
• Manage US Market Intelligence and Forecasting group
o Monthly and quarterly reporting on market sell-thru, competition, and segmentation
o STA’s primary interface for 3P industry analysts
o Market/carrier forecasting
• Manage Business Planning group
o Quarterly business planning and reporting
o Price/positioning meeting
o STA profitability
o CDE management
• Ensure STA meets internal metrics such as aged inventory, overall inventory levels, etc.
• Ensure STA meets quarterly volume objectives, work with all STA functional organizations in order to meet goals
• Implement HQ SCM/CPFR requests across STA
• Coordinate supply signals with counterpart in Business Planning organization
• Develop/present executive level presentations
• Work with Sales organization and carrier account teams to set quarterly volume objectives
Background /
Experience
10+ years of related industry experience, including supply chain.
Education
MBA Preferred and MUST BE fluent in Korean and English
