Job Title Sr. Director, Mortgage Relationship Management

Summary:
The Senior Director, Mortgage Relationship Management will lead the relationships with mortgage and regulatory compliance agencies for Capital One's Mortgage Business. This individual will serve as the primary interface between the various sub-servicers and Capital One management. Through this relationship, the Senior Director will work with sub-servicers to promote a well rounded business opportunity; leading the work stream and problem resolution that affects the business relationship and translating sub-servicing requirements for internal performers. This individual will build and lead a team of ~20 associates to ensure compliance with regulatory and operational audit requirements. He/She will also maintain a lead responsibility and a strong background in functional regulatory and operational audit requirements. The Senior Director will report to the Head of Mortgage Defaults for Capital One and will interact directly with the President of the entire Financial Services business and his leadership team.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure all regulatory and operational audit requirements are met including:
- Operational risk management efforts
- Regulatory AB and USAP reporting
- Internal Audit requirements
- Fair Lending reporting
- OCC reporting
• Ensure the sub-servicer is performing in compliance with all investor transactional agreements.
• Oversee efforts of functional audit team who will be traveling to various site locations for due diligence reviews.
• Responsible for management, analysis and decisioning of data provided by sub-servicers
• Work closely with Corporate Finance to ensure that all billing from sub-servicers is accurate.
• Have a vision and develop the strategy for the future of the group.
• Build, lead and develop a team of highly qualified associates.
• Prepare and monitor the department budget.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree
• 20+ years of Mortgage Banking/Servicing Industry experience
• Deep expertise in Mortgage regulatory and operational audit
• Proficiency in Government Sponsored Enterprise and Security Agreement
• 7+ years of experience in People Management
Basic Qualifications:
• High School Diploma
• 15+ years of experience in the Mortgage industry
• 3+ years experience in People Management
• 2+ years of experience in Mortgage Servicing
