Qualifications
Highland is an active investor in healthcare, with over $3 billion in total exposure. We are looking to grow the platform with the addition of an experienced, hard-working, entrepreneurial individual to manage and build the healthcare equity portfolio. This position is responsible for conducting healthcare equity research, executing timely buy and sell recommendations and handling elements of investor relations for healthcare investments.
Responsibilities:
# Conduct due diligence and make buy, sell, and hold recommendations
# Perform valuation analysis, comparative company analysis, and industry research
# Compile relevant supporting information to present ideas to the investment committee and President
# This person will have a reasonable amount of autonomy in running the portfolio and executing the investment strategy
Qualifications:
# BBA/BS required from a highly rated academic institution
# MBA from top tier business school and/or professional certifications (CFA, CPA, CMA, etc.) are strongly desired
# 8+ years managing a healthcare-focused equity portfolio
# Superior understanding of securities analysis, valuation and other investment management methodologies
# Excellent research and decision making skills
# Superior communication skills and ideally experience with investor presentations
# Strong organizational skills with ability to work independently and multi-task in a complex, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment
Compensation & Benefits:
